How to live stream on YouTube from multiple platforms

YouTube is one of the most popular video and live streaming platforms in the world today. This is because YouTube offers many interesting features. Lots of characters and video content will be streamed live to greet fans and followers.

Previously, you had to meet several conditions to be able to stream live via YouTube:

  • Have at least 50 subscribers
  • No live streaming restrictions on your channel in the last 90 days
  • First verify your YouTube channel
  • If you enable live streaming, you may have to wait 24 hours before you can start the first live stream
  • Use an Android device with at least version 5.0. and for iPhone and iPad users with at least iOS 8

You can live stream using three types of devices namely mobile devices, webcams and encoders. Then you need to prepare an attractive title, caption and thumbnail.

After that, here are some types to choose according to the device you are using:

Dasbord

  • Go to www.youtube.com/dashboard.
  • Click the camcorder logo in the top right corner.
  • Click Go Live and choose Webcam.
  • Add a title and customize some privacy settings.
  • Click More to add descriptions, live chat, monetization, promotions and more.
  • Click Next and select Go Live.
  • When you’re done, select Stop Stream.

Smartphone

  • Open the YouTube application and select the camcorder logo.
  • Click Go Live.
  • Add a title and customize some privacy settings.
  • Click More to add descriptions, live chat, monetization, promotions and more.
  • After that, click on “Show Less” and select “Next”. Select the thumbnail you want.
  • Click “Share” to share the live streaming link on social media.
  • Click Go Live.
  • When you are finished, click “Finish” and “Ok”.

Encoders

  • Download coding software.
  • After that select the camcorder logo.
  • Click Go Live and choose Stream.
  • Add title, description, category, privacy settings and thumbnail. Then click Create Stream.
  • Go to “Stream Settings” and copy the displayed stream key.
  • Paste the stream key into the encoder.
  • Go back to YouTube and click Go Live.
  • When you’re done, click Stop Stream.
